Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Callout/Repair Engineer to join Arrival Lifts, a professional, agile,
and innovative family-run lift company. This is a field-based role attending lift breakdowns and repairs on a
range of sites, ensuring lifts are returned to safe and reliable operation as quickly as possible.

You will diagnose faults, replace mechanical and electrical components where required, and work both
independently and alongside other engineers. You will be a key representative of the company on site, so
clear communication, a professional manner, and a strong customer focus are essential.

Duties

  • Attend initial breakdown visits to passenger and goods lifts and diagnose faults accurately.
  • Carry out repairs and return lifts to service safely and efficiently.
  • Replace mechanical and electrical components where required.
  • Check insurance remedial items and measure up for potential remedial works.
  • Participate in the night-call rota in weekly rotations when ready.
  • Work independently on the road and collaborate effectively with other engineers when required.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with customers and internal team members.
  • Maintain accurate records of works carried out and parts used.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Lift Engineer, ideally in a callout, service, or repair role.
  • Background working on a range of lift makes and models.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills across mechanical and electrical components.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage your own workload.
  • Confident and professional communication skills with customers and colleagues.
  • NVQ3 in Lift Engineering (or equivalent) preferred but not essential, with training available.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (required); must meet company insurance requirements.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including night shift rota, overtime, and occasional weekend work.

  • Salary: £41,000.00–£48,463.22 per year (dependent on experience)
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, night-call rota, overtime, occasional weekend work
