Lingfield Racecourse –
Grandstand Lift Modernisation

Lingfield Racecourse, one of Surrey’s most frequented racing venues, required a rapid and reliable lift modernisation within its Grandstand building. As a high-traffic public space with regular race days, the lift needed to return to service as quickly as possible while addressing worn and outdated components. 

 Arrival Lifts was instructed to update tired lift equipment and improve overall performance. Using standard industry diagnostic methods, the team identified the key components that required replacement to restore reliability. The scope of work included installing a new main lift control panel, door gear controls, landing and car operating stations, and updated indicator units. Each upgrade was selected to enhance usability, safety, and long-term service efficiency. 

 Although working within a busy commercial environment, the project faced no major challenges, and the team coordinated closely with the racecourse to minimise downtime. All works were completed within the projected 2–4-week timeframe, ensuring the lift was reinstated in good time ahead of upcoming racing events. 

 The modernised lift now operates more smoothly and reliably, offering improved passenger experience and supporting the day-to-day demands of this popular venue.
